Snelling is hiring for an Accounting Clerk Position, this is a temporary position lasting anywhere from 2-3 months. The company is local and a very well established in the River Valley!
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:00PM— Salary and Benefits DOE.
Required Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of administrative assistant, or AR/AP in combination with logistics/freight experience is preferred.
Full Job Description:
The accounting clerk will be responsible for processing freight invoices, reconciling discrepancies, preparing freight payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. You may also handle various accounting tasks like maintaining vendor records, preparing accrual reports, and assisting with month-end procedures.
Preferred Skills:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
· Friendly customer service attitude
· Solid written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
· Excellent organizational skills
· Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
· Strong process improvement skills
· Culturally, someone with a team / work together for common good/goals mentality
· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
· Some Billing/Invoicing experience
· Some A/P experience
· Some A/R experience
· Some knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
· Maintains files and documentations thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
