  • You should never operate any machinery or equipment unless you have been properly trained and authorized to operate.
  • A CNC machine is a computer controlled cutting machine.
  • The large boards may be loaded onto the cutting table by one person.
  • Both the operator and the helper should be behind the yellow lines before starting and during the operation process
  • If you see something or are asked to do something unsafe it is ok to wait until the end of your shift to notify your supervisor.
  • Air hoses may be used throughout the process.
  • Sometimes it is necessary to bypass or remove guards on machinery and equipment.
  • You should never attempt to remove anything from the machine while it is in operation.
  • You can begin unloading the scrap before the cutting table has stopped moving.
  • Sometimes you may have to enter the area of operation while the machine is running.
