The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all facility and equipment maintenance operations within the distribution center. This role leads a team of six to eight maintenance associates across first and second shifts, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems, material handling equipment, and production support assets. The Maintenance Manager partners closely with Operations, Safety, and HR leadership to drive productivity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee preventive maintenance programs for conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and other warehouse systems.
Ensure timely completion of work orders and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
Manage maintenance department budget, including labor, tools, and supplies.
Monitor vendor contracts and oversee service providers for specialized repairs or inspections.
Recommend and justify capital improvements and equipment upgrades.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of eight maintenance technicians across first and second shifts.
QUALIFICAIONS:
Education & Experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field is preferred but not required.
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment. Facilities manager background in manufacturing is a plus, however, extensive experience as a maintenance technician will be considered
Knowledge & Skills
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and material handling systems.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate employees across shifts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work flexible hours to support both first and second shifts.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse conditions (heat, cold, noise).
